Kasey's Rambles

A blog, to me should never start off let alone be titled 4 hours of sleep…without the “reader” thinking of shit here we go with the Dramatics from Kasey Rambles. In that case you would sound like my family members who know and LoVE me oh so well!!! 😉☺️😂

But at almost midnight, yet again I find myself racing the clock to get my Blog in so I can stay on this streak of mine haha…and the day has gotten away from me…Again. 2 days in a row now in fact, and it’s not even Friday yet!!!! Considering yesterdays blog was titled how the day got away from me or whatever I came up with at 1153 on a Weds. This is all I have for a title. 4 Hours of sleep. because, well. Best way to describe my day in a nut case I mean a nut shell. Ahhhh I crack myself up. Ok continue Kasey

So the reason as to why I only got 4 hours of sleep last night was because my stepdaughter had just gotten home from Hawaii with her mother’s side of the family and they were gone for 28 days so basically a full month. And we were already planning on being her chauffeur just kidding. Giving her a ride to see friends so I figured since it’s still summer time why not just have her sleep over since she just got home from a month-long vacation. Not knowing that we would literally be up until about 4:30 in the morning talking laughing goofing around watching the thunderstorm literally doing everything that my Epiphany that I had on the beach just a few short nine days ago was or is.

Being able to one even just have my step daughter’s sleepover our apartment is amazing and two the fact that it’s not awkward over the past it’s been about a year and a half and the relationship that I have with my youngest daughter is blooming into something so beautiful it gives me chills talking about. We had so much fun watching the torrential downpour and the lightning and listening to the thunder we screamed at one point because the thunder was so loud it’s a very long story I do not have enough time to type about it plus I don’t think anybody else would laugh besides me and my kiddo.

But to touch on why I brought up my epiphany I literally stayed up until 4:30 in the morning with my stepdaughter and then had to be at work by 10:00 a.m. so I probably fell asleep around 5:30 a.m. . And I was awake at 6:00 because my son woke up. Told him to please let Mommy and early try to sleep a little bit longer. Got up around 8:00 walk the dog did my morning routine had my stepdaughter move from the very comfy pillow bed that I make the girls when they sleep over over to her brother’s bed since he has been awake since 6:00 a.m. mind you.

So at this point I really only have gotten probably 3 hours of sleep so now I’m thinking this whole title to my blog is a lie lol. But don’t have enough time to go back and change it and change the whole narrative to this blog and I’m not going to so deal with my grammatical errors and please don’t hate on it. I got 5 minutes crunch time.

So I get ready for work I walk the dog I write my daughter a note letting her know the dogs been walked, your brother’s been fed…sleep in as long as your brother lets you! Love you 💖 Have a good day. I rushed to work. I do not have enough time to get my morning coffee so I know today is going to be a long day. And it was a very long day.

It was oddly busy for a Thursday and on top of being busy I had a ton of prep work to do and it was my long day so I knew I would have to be there through the dinner rush which is around 7:00. To sum this up and make this go a little bit quicker since I am known for rambling and having very very long stories…are computers shut down again which is a problem that we have been experiencing for oh I don’t know 6 months now and it is very frustrating. That is all that I’m going to say about that I don’t want to get anybody in trouble. But it’s a nightmare and I am not a computer “wiz” I’m not a genius when it comes to fixing computers or anything along those lines and it just makes for a very very long day. I did not leave work until 7:30 I did not get home until a little after 8:00. And this is all just layering up to why I need to focus on finding something I can do from home. I want to be able to stay up late with my daughter one night and not have to worry about how exhausted I’m going to be because I have to go into the shop and work a 10-hour day oh and possibly stay a little bit longer because you never know when something’s going to go wrong. And when you’re the manager of somewhere it is your job to stay and make sure that things get fixed.

As always I am rambling and I feel like I’ve said a little bit too much in this blog so I’m going to head to bed and try to get some rest before Friday another 10-hour day for this mama. Truly, it has made me feel super super loved and I honestly feel like I have found something that makes me smile and that I am passionate about and it’s a really cool hobby to have at 33 years old…til next time
