Kasey's Rambles

I knew this Blog was coming and instead of venting and ranting about how mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted I am from the day I just had…Well let’s just say this entry would NOT 🚫 be a happy one. Not that my blogs are always happy or need to be. I’m just saying for tonight I’m going to choose to remain cool, calm and collected…for the most part.

So as I sit on my back stoop and decide to daze off and think about how next Tuesday my “not so little boy” will be starting First Grade! It is a bittersweet moment for me. As you see he is my baby. The last of my kids that actually lets me, sometimes, call him my Baby. Little do they all know there all my babies until the day I die! 😎😂😫😉 So, being that tomorrow is the last day of summer camp. Next Monday, when I’m off, Me and “My baby” are going to have a whole day full of fun, food and adventures! And I cannot wait!!! This weekend will not fly by, I know that. I also know I am going to be utterly exhausted come Monday, but I miss my boy and I will make damn sure my butt gets up and enjoys my time with him before he becomes a First Grader. As we all know kids aren’t kids forever, and we need to take advantage of any and all precious time we have with our children. Hell our family and friends too. Life is way to short. We have to try and enjoy it while we can.

At least this has been my mindset so far this year in 2022. I’m loving it by the way. Now back to the real topic. Summer is coming to an end! As I sit here and look back…we had an incredibly magical summer. This being our first summer together as a Whole Family!! We went to North Carolina, the beach. Earlier in the year we went to Arizona. All things I never imagined I would have seen myself doing just a few years ago.

Now I know I haven’t delved into my past a bunch. I’ve just slightly given little bits and pieces. I will share that story, when I am ready…but a couple years ago I was not in the right head space to even take care of myself let alone a whole family. So, my point is to look back on the Summer we just had and the things we’ve done as a Family…it’s truly amazing. It’s a blessing. The amount of gratitude that I have these days is just so humbling. I’m happy today, where as a few years ago I was not.

So, summer is coming to an end and we reflect on all the fun that was had. The laughs that were made, the tears that were shed and the memories. Oh the memories. Those, well they last a lifetime!

So here’s to another 11 hour day. Here’s to waking up at 630am and being on Go mode until 9pm!! I do it so that we can have fun summers like we just had!!! Until I become famous that is 😂😂 until then…pizza gig will do. And to the real MVP, my hubby, for busting his butt and making me so damn proud to be his wife!!! Here’s to another amazing summer come 2023. Yup, I’m already thinking about it.
