Kasey's Rambles

Every year, usually around this time. When things are shifting if you will. By “things” I mean literally everything in my life. All our children starting school, football season (which means work is hectic till the end of the year), my husband’s job is booming (so he is working, a LOT!), And my mind races on the daily with things on my never ending “List” to get done!!! May I remind you there is never enough time in the day let alone year to get everything done, the way I would like it to go.

So, back to the title of the blog and my point before I go in on a rant about my day to day and how annoying that can be…It’s that time of year again. The leaves are changing, Pumpkin Spice is now on the menu at all our favorite coffee places, and it’s the time of year where almost always I make a drastic change to my hair. Let me explain a little bit about why.

For me, it is something that I have “Full” control over! It may sound so stupid, dying my hair or being able to pick out the nail color I want at the salon, but it’s the little things. Little things keep me going. They get me excited. I have always loved to experiment and do my hair. It’s fun for me. Especially since here recently I decided to lighten my roots myself; and well, let’s just say that is why we went Dark. There was no fixing what I had done without spending a ton of money at a Salon. Salons can get super pricey and with all the damage I have, I know to fix my head would have been astronomical. So I do what I know best, take matters into my own hands!! . Sure alot of the times it may not come out how I thought it would, but it makes me happy.

Change can be a good thing. I know my mother loves me as a blonde, but hair is hair. I can change colors whenever I want to. That’s the beauty of it. Especially since I have at least 15yrs experience in dying my hair now at home. I’m no stylist whatsoever but it looks good and puts a smile on my face. That is what matters most to me these days. Smiling and being happy.

So it’s that time of year again. I’m a Brunette again and ready to dive right into Fall and everything spooky!!! This is totally one of my rambles. Super random too. But, again, I’ve been doing nothing but smiling while writing this Blog. This has truly become one my favorite hobby. I can’t wait to see where this goes!! Now I must go. My eyes are so heavy there about to fully shut and not open til 630am. Which looking at it now, isn’t that far away.
